A golf course located in a huge Wiltshire park took an extra three years to complete its extension project, approved in 2014.
White Horse Country Park is located northeast of Westbury and has 247 acres of parkland.
As well as rugby pitches and a pétanque club, it also offers a nine-hole golf course.

Just over 10 years ago, Wiltshire Council approved the extension of this course by a further nine holes.
However, the work was never completed and the municipality must now decide whether or not to grant an extension of this building permit.
The application states: “With increasingly poor weather conditions from year to year, the applicant chooses to close the project at these times so as not to cause problems with mud on the road and poor construction of the earthworks .
“This wasted a lot of time and materials on top of opening COVID and other regulated facilities in the area.”
He adds: “The applicant would like to have an additional 3 years to complete the entire project, including the reprofiling of the original 9 holes.
“In doing so, the construction of additional holes will make the course a full 18-hole facility for its current members and will encourage new members to join, making it one of the best facilities in the region.”
